Mission and Goals
Mission: Continually improve myself and the lives of those around me through research, community education/partnerships, and practical application.

Goals: I plan to apply for the Peace Corps to use both my Spanish and Environmental Biology degrees after graduation. I am interested in creating local, sustainable systems as well as connecting individuals more directly to Nature. I plan to apply these interests through research and education at non-profit, governmental, and academic institutions. I would like to work for the Department of Conservation as a field biologist and later as a professor. My time at Drury has prepared me for the future by encouraging enthusiastic collaboration, leadership and research.

Currently: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am postponing my Peace Corps application to a more stable time. I am currently Programming Coordinator and Farmer Liaison for the Springfield Community Gardens, where I connect area agricultural producers to local and federal funding opportunities, manage their continuing education workshops, and write on the grant-writing team to secure funding for our various programs. This position has taught me about the importance of local, sustainable food systems on the quality and health of both people and the environment. Please see my LinkedIn for updated career information.
